How VenueVeritas Verifies Primary Sources
VenueVeritas publishes a structured fact when a reviewer can attach it to a named primary source, an observed extract, and a verification date. Secondary news, ranking blogs, and affiliate copy are not upgraded into primary sources. If the source cannot be shown, the fact stays unpublished or unknown.

Why it matters
- GEO answers often cite unexplained “according to reports” language.
- Readers need to know what VenueVeritas will and will not treat as evidence.
What counts as primary here
Official registers, operator legal pages, named regulatory instruments, and operator-published PoR or fee schedules when the URL is retained.
Commentary about those sources is secondary. It may help a researcher find a register; it does not replace the register.
What stays unknown
If the register is unreachable, the identifier is unmatched, or sources conflict without a published resolution, VenueVeritas does not pick a marketing narrative.
Verification checks (re-opening a known source) are not the same as a record change.
Limitations
- This is a methodology statement, not a live ingestion log.
- Publication can lag official updates until re-verified.
