Proof of Reserves (PoR) publications are snapshot disclosures. They are not equivalent to a full financial audit, proof of solvency, or a VenueVeritas safety rating.

Why it matters
- Users confuse Merkle/wallet attestations with audited financial statements.
- PoR presence must not be used as a paid or implied ranking signal.
What PoR evidence means here
When a venue dossier lists PoR snapshots, VenueVeritas records methodology fields, dates, and sources as published — without converting them into a trust score.
Compare pages may note which venue has more complete PoR publication evidence. That is an evidence-completeness statement, not “safer because PoR”.
How to read a PoR row
Check snapshot date, assets covered, liabilities scope, and primary source URL.
If fields are unknown or not on file, they stay unknown — they are not inferred.
Limitations
- PoR methodologies vary; VenueVeritas does not certify attestors.
- Absence of PoR is not itself a finding of insolvency.
